Aritech Advisor DR-851 Infrared Motion Security Sensor
Aritech Advisor 851 passive infrared motion sensors measure the infrared energy radiated from every object within its field of view. The DR-851 looks for changes in the level of this radiation. If the change is large enough and occurs rapidly enough, an alarm will result. The Dr-851 is microprocessor-controlled which permits features to be installer-selectable to meet the particular needs of each installation. Installer-programmable dipswitches inside each DR-851 control each unit's detection characteristics and whether the unit acts as a stand-alone or multi-head system sensor.
The Dr-851 can detect an intruder's motion in 17 sensitive zones in a superwide 180 degree field of view with a maximum forward range of 45 feet. Maximum ranges are affected by mounting height and sensitivity setting. One sensor can provide complete coverage of a 30x40 foot room, even protecting the wall on which it is mounted.
