3M #1645 SURFACE SAVER APPLICATOR
This 3M Surface Saver Applicator has been used in my lab for a little over 5 years. Other than normal wear and tear it is in great working condition.
For protection of the "to be blocked" surface this system has few equals. In one operation, saver tape can be applied to lenses of up to 80mm.
This method of protecting and insulating lenses before blocking is an efficient industry standard. With various tape formulations it may be used for mineral and organic lens material.
Tape loading is simple and vacuum tape application ensures most convex curves in the popular range can be processed.
