Rauland 2490 master clock

The Rauland 2490 Programmable Master Clock can correct both analog and digital clocks. It can also signal equipment when to begin and end an "event" (such as ringing a bell, or turning lights or cooling equipment on and off). It can store up to 500 such events, place them in as many as four Schedules, and automatically vary this programming for up to 100 holidays.
The 2490 Clock has push buttons for manually controlling each Zone, activating all of the Zones simultaneously, and selecting up to four program Schedules.
Daylight Saving changes can be programmed to occur automatically. During a power failure, the clock's non-volitile memory will retain the events programming. After the power has been restored, the time display will flash, indicating that the "Time" and the "Date" need to be reset (as in conventional alarm clocks). An optional battery back-up module will keep the time and date current during a power failure.
Consult your Rauland Distributor on customizing these features for your location.
The tutorial presents the features most needed by the typical user. The menu (at left) provides quick access to instruction on specific tasks. The simulator (above) responds in a manner that is largely faithful to the original hardware.
Take a few moments to familiarize yourself with the clock's layout. Notice the MODE display window and its corresponding button; the TIME, ZONES and SCHEDULES sections; the ENTER button and the key (seen edge-on). You may have noticed that the intro page split the clock into two parts as displayed above. This was done to better facilitate the overall layout of the tutorial. In reality, the top part is the left side and the bottom part is the right side of a single unit.
The simulator module was created using Macromedia Flash and makes extensive use of ActionScript. For enhanced realism, the module initially imports the current date and time from your computer. From then on, it uses an internal timer to advance the time although, it doesn't keep "good" time. To reset the module, click the "refresh" button on your browser. Resetting will also clear any odd behavior, sometimes brought on by unforseen time variable interactions... more commonly referred to as "bugs".
