New brand graseby 3100 syringe pump & manual rrp £3500

you will receive Graseby 3100 pump, manual, power cable and warning label
The Graseby 3100 gives you control over which features are made available, allowing faster, simpler control of regular infusions.
* Volume Unit (ml/hr) Infusion Programming
Rate range: 0.1 to 199 ml/hr in 0.1ml increments
Set up for use with BD syringes only
Mains/battery operation (time dependant on rate)
Mains/battery operation (up to 3hrs)
The syringe is pushed along at a controlled rate by the pumping mechanism.
After you have drawn up your solution into the syringe and primed the line to express any air, place the syringe into the retaining clamp and ensure the collar is held firmly in the recess.
The syringe clamp now needs to be aligned with the end of the plunger and rotated back onto the head so as to locate it firmly.
Prior to connecting to the patient, it is important to purge the pump. This is to take up the mechanical slack that exists in all devices of this type and is sometimes referred to as the take up time. If this is not done then the pump will take a while before it actually begins to deliver the infusion. Once purged, you can be assured that the administration of the drug will commence as required when the start button is operated. As stated earlier, this is done prior to connecting the device to the patient, as it would be dangerous to do it whilst connected.
Once you have programmed the rate of infusion, activate Start and the pump will begin to operate.
If an occlusion occurs and the alarm is activated, it is very important to open the clamp holding the syringe plunger before you deal with the cause of the occlusion. This is because the pump will be trying to push the solution into the patient up until the point it senses there is an occlusion and unless the mechanical tension (back-pressure) is dealt with first, a bolus will be administered. Deal with the occlusion then reposition the plunger clamp and press start to continue.
When an infusion has ended, the pump will switch to operating at 0.5ml/hr, the keep vein open (KVO) rate , with a non-urgent alarm reminder to respond when convenient.
Alarms - The pump will alarm for the following:
Clamp left open - It has not been secured to the syringe plunger.
Syringe invalid - The size sensor does not detect a syringe in the trough.
Rate Invalid -The set rate is too much for the syringe in place or has not been set.
Occlusion -There is a blocked infusion line and pressure has built up on the plunger clamp.
Infusion is nearly complete -There is less than 3 minutes before the pump goes to KVO mode.
Not infusing -The start button has not been activated.
Low Battery -The pump s batteries are nearly flat - please plug into mains supply.
