This is brand new came off an upgrade project and was left over inventory.
The TRIATEK VAV-1000L controls quickly and accurately controls airflow in laboratory zones that require pre-determined offsets between supply and exhaust air using proven TRIATEK control technology that can meet most airflow control requirements.
Exhaust CFM from fume hoods and general exhaust from a laboratory zone are summed by the VAV-1000L to calculate total exhaust CFM which is subtracted from the supply airflow CFM to calculate net airflow for the zone. Where net
negative pressure for containment purposes is required, the VAV-1000L modulates supply airflow to be less than the total exhaust airflow. A setpoint value for offset (e.g. 100 CFM) can be programmed into the VAV-1000L which continuously compares net airflow with the setpoint and produces a control signal that modulates the air valve or damper to control the supply CFM needed to match the setpoint. As exhaust CFM in the zone varies, the VAV-1000L maintains the required offset between exhaust and supply by modulating the supply CFM to track the total exhaust CFM to keep the laboratory zone negatively pressurized. Zone temperature is controlled by the VAV-1000L through a temperature transmitter such as the TRIATEK 100TX that provides the temperature of the zone to the VAV-1000L. The VAV-1000L temperature function has a programmed setpoint for comparison with the actual measured temperature. When the temperature is not at setpoint, a control signal modulates the reheat coils, and/or supply air volume valve as means to maintain temperature. The VAV-1000L is programmed using LON based software tools to access all panel variables and is stored in non-volatile memory so that values and settings are not lost during power outages.
