Coherent 18 watt 808NM laser diode module dpss green
This is a Coherent 18 watt 808nm laser diode module. I have personally tested this laser for power output and wavelength. Please see the description below for technical information and pictures regarding this laser:
This diode is producing 18 watts at 24 amps. It is rated for 32 amps, so it is producing good power. Peak wavelength at 17C was measured to be 808nm. The graph below illustrates the reading from my spectrometer. Temperature readings were taken through the built in 10k ohm thermistor, which is inside the cooling baseplate. The fiber array package is mounted on thermoelectric peltiers. These act as coolers for the diode, which is absolutely essential for operation. This saves you from fabricating a baseplate, peltiers, and proper housing. Pinout schematics will be provided.
Here are pictures of the core I was able to take with my scope/camera. My camera has a small resolution, so I took 2 pictures to capture the core. The camera is not entirely clear, but the core is in pristine condition. This is important because the smallest microscopic burn, scratch, or particle on the core can ruin your fiber and destroy your diode after short use. Purchase other diodes with caution!
