Scan checks to make sure they are good. Using this scanner requires service with a local check verification agency or collection agency. The scanner communicates with the agency's database to verify the checking account and then sends you a code to accept that check or not. I am not promoting any specific agency. I just want to sell the unit since my business closed. Reply if you have questions.
We purchased this unit new in Oct 1999 for our small store with low volume of 30-50 checks per month. We used it for personal check verification through our collection agency. Set-up instructions can be found at /cm3000setup.pdf ; however, our collection agency representative set it up for us. This unit is easy to use. It was kept in a clean environment and works well. New units sell for about $300. We paid almost $600 when we purchased it.
