With the UNIVAPO range of vacuum concentrators, vacuum and centrifugal force combine to provide a gentle and highly efficient method of evaporating, drying, and concentrating biological liquids.
The pre-set rotational speed of the magnetically-driven rotor develops the optimum centrifugal force for all the available rotos. This gravitational force prevents bumping, foaming, and sputtering of the solution so that virtually 99% of the sample is concentrated and recovered. All UNIVAPO models feature:
* A double sealed, chemically resistant, Teflon -coated chamber
* A choice of accessory rotors
* An indirect drive, magnetically-coupled motor
* A 2-way vacuum valve installed to the rear of the upper section for vacuum-line connection
The UNIVAPO range of vacuum concentrators will rapidly concentrate samples at low temperature in the vacuum-tight rotor chamber. The UNIVAPO 100 H and 150 H models can run at temperatures up to 39 C, whereas the UNIVAPO 100 ECH and 150 ECH centrifuges can achieve more rapid evaportation of the solvent phase by raising the chamber temperature up to 80 C. In addition, ECH models feature electronic control for time and temperature, an RS-232 interface (software available as an accessory) and they offer ramping control with 5 programmable steps.
Applications: for preparations with a maximum recovery of DNA, RNA, proteins, peptides, amino-acids, hormones, enzymes. For analysis by RIA, FIA, TLC, FPLC, HPLC, GC/MS, IR, UV, and electrophoresis.
