When American Rotary's engineering team and lead physicist developed the American Rotary Digital Controller, they not only overcame the problems and underachieved goals of antiquated potential relays and timers, but they also added other protections and benefits previously unavailable. This highly-specialized circuit board offers technological benefits and protections that cannot be offered by any other method used in any other rotary phase converter on the market today.
Perfect synchronous speed starts every time reduces wear on start capacitors, and eliminates damaging "single-phasing" states.
Compensates for varying starting loads by automatically detecting the optimal rotational speed before disconnecting the starting capacitors accurate to 1/2 volt.
Pre-programmed with American Rotary's built-in starter to detect faulty conditions and shut down the entire system to protect the converter and connected equipment.
Automatically compensates for sagging voltage and optimizes unstable single phase lines and voltage systems from about 208v - 250v.
Optional programming available to further optimize American Rotary phase converters for all imaginable conditions.

Many phase converter designs use components that are position-dependant, and can only be mounted in a single configuration. While unitized designs look great, space constraints (and some applications) and floor layouts are often better-suited for a wall-mounted installation. American Rotary phase converters were thoughtfully engineered to relieve
those restrictions, and offer both unitized and wall-mount options into a single design.

Engineers at American Rotary and Baldor Electric teamed up to design this finely-tuned generator which offers the advantages of solid-state, winding-integrated Soft Start, and precision windings for the best voltage balance with wire that is designed to withstand the downstream voltage spikes that some CNC and VFD controlled equipment send back through the line. Avoid any electronic product with components that are mounted with banding of any kind. Banding is a quick and inexpensive way to mount capacitors, but severely shortens their lifespan by weakening and damaging the outside of the capacitor which eventually leads to leaking and ultimately, failure. > back to quick links
American Rotary's push button Start/Stop Switch with ON indicator lamp & pre-wired PowerGuard Protection provides convenience and safety. The easy light-touch ON and safety raised OFF button provides convenient control of the phase converter. We put extra effort into making sure our components can withstand the demands of continuous phase conversion.
