I have for sale a Scherr-Tumico 0-6" micrometer set, graduated down to 0.0001" (one ten-thousandth of one inch). It has never been used and comes with black wrinkle-finish frames with the rest of each tool matte chrome. You can see the protective plastic is still in the case. This includes a 1" disc standard, 2-6" rod standards, and the calibration wrench so each tool can be cross-checked and calibrated. These are made in the USA and are built to meet/exceed federal specification GGG-C-105b.
Scherr-Tumico is a high-quality american manufacturer with a long tradition of fine products, often producing tools for other reputable precision equpiment companies and winning government contracts. The case itself is made of two solid hinged pieces of wood with carved reliefs and closing latches, nothing flimsy. As expected this comes with all calibration equipment and are ready to get to work for your precision machining or fabrication needs. These originally cost about $700 per set, but I have no need for more micrometers so here they are, ready for a new home.
