The Grid-Switch Metal Particle Detector provides ultra-reliable detection of dangerous wear in any lubricated machinery including engines, compressors, pumps, gear boxes, turbines, draw works, etc. Housed in an explosion proof enclosure, the unit is triggered by metal particles in the lubricating oil, the first failure sign of bearings, pistons, gears, cross-heads, and other moving parts.
The Grid Switch detector continuously monitors lubricating fluids for metal debris - the first sign of trouble when bearings, connecting rods and other metal parts begin to experience accelerated wear. When sufficient wear debris is present, the Grid Switch detector triggers an automated shut-down via the controller box.
