After speaking with a representative at Delta, we were informed that there are two available speeds for this saw. One is for wood at a speed of 4500 SFM and the second is for non-ferrous metal (NO steel; will rip out the teeth) at a speed of 2000 SFM. Speeds are not variable. This machine has step pulleys. According to the manual pulled by the Delta representative the blade width is 141" however that is the longest measurement on the blade. I have gathered further information that the blades range in dimension from left to right from 1/8" to 1" with 1/2" being the standard size. The thickness of the blade is 0.035".
