3" agate mortar and pestle thick walled handcrafted
3 1/2 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches high. Mortar & Pestle are handcrafted abroad from the finest agate stone. Do not be fooled by cheaper mortar and pestles that are marble, these are real agate. They are made of thick-walled agate with highly polished grinding surfaces. The mortar is hexagonal and the pestle is octagonal. Each mortar and pestle is unique with variances common to handmade items made of natural materials. Colors may vary slightly from the ones pictured. These are commonly used for dyestuffs, enamels and trace organic assay work when no cross contamination of samples is required.
