This listing is for a hydraulic monitoring/filtering cart that is to be used inline between a hydraulic supply and the load. The purpose of this test rig is to control and monitor the pressures and flow going to a process along with monitoring the temperature. Currently this unit has temp, flow and pressure sensors installed but there are no digital readouts. We had two of these carts that did have the digital readouts on them, so we can supply some of the information needed to install them. This cart was made for an aerospace company which never used it. It is made of high grade components that are in excellent condition.
The cart has a supply side and a load side so it can be positioned between the hydraulic supply and the load/test side. The supply side has a port for supply and one for return. The load side has two blocks that each have two ports each. The outputs of this unit are directly connected to the A and B ports of the Vickers directional control valve. Basically, the cart separatly filters the supply and return line going to a load.
The main pressure input enters the cart through a quick disconnect and passes through the first Parker filter housing. The supply pressure is measured at this point with a transducer. Next the supply flow passes through the Tescom air pilot operated flow valve. This valve can either be controlled with a simple manual air valve, or can be operated with an electronic pressure controller. The Tescom electronic controller receives a 4-20mA signal and produces a variable air output which in turn operates the air pilot valve on the hydraulic valve to control volume. The supply oil now enters the directional control valve and is either sent to the A or B port depending on the direction switch. From the A and B ports the oil lines terminate in the output blocks that have quick disconnects that go to the load. Once the fluid passes through the load it returns to the cart. Pressure is sensed in the return line. Before the return exits the cart it passes through another 5 micron Parker filter. This is a basic description of the sequence of events. There are several lines, valves and sensors that I have not mentioned. Please study the drawings to ensure you fully understand its function.
This cart would work great in testing hydraulic motors and cylinders or anything else that would require monitoring of pressure, flow and temperature along with the ability to filter and reverse the flow to the load. This item is built to the highest standards and is in excellent condition. We have another one of these carts. Please call with any questions.
