The Anritsu MA2481A has a frequency range of 10MHz to 6GHz, and has a dynamic range of -60dBm to +20dBm. They have 3% linearity up to +20dBm average power, important when measuring W-CDMA signals, which can have a 14 dB crest factor. The extended square law overlap in the Universal Power Sensor ensures that the W-CDMA signal s changing power peaks and troughs are detected accurately in square law region and integrated, resulting in an accurate average power measurement. The sensor will accurately measure even wider bandwidth signals, making it well suited for use with higher-order modulation schemes in the future or multi-tone measurements with wide signal spacing. The Anritsu MA2481A is typically 5 to 10 times faster than competitive solutions across its full dynamic range.The sensor is expected to find applications in automated production test, where accuracy and speed of test are very important factors.
