1.5KVA toroid isolation power trasnformer 115V to 230V


Open Circuit Test (core loss test):
TEST CONDITION: Apply variable voltage to primary coil (115V terminals) from 115-180VAC at 60Hz. No load on secondary coils.
1. Primary V = 120VAC, Primary I = .09A or core loss is 12Watt.
2. Primary V = 140VAC, Primary I = .13A
Short Circuit Test (copper loss test):
TEST CONDITION: Apply variable voltage to primary coil (115V terminals) from 1-20VAC at 60Hz and short circuit on secondary coils and test the primary voltage and current. The result is 2.7V and 12.1A or 32Watt which is the maximum rated copper loss
TEST CONDITION: Apply dielectric meter between primary coils and secondary coils; and increase voltage up to 3500VAC. No initiate any spark.
TEST CONDITION: Input 115VAC 60Hz to the primary coil; parallel 2 secondary coils, 5 ohm 250W resistors as dummy load and room temperature at 25 degree C. Temperature rises 5 degree C after an hour test at load test #2.
1. Primary I = 0.09A, Secondary V = 120VAC at 0.0A, Power = 0 Watt
2. Primary I = 9.41A, Secondary V = 118.5VAC at 8.4A, Power = 995 Watt
3. Primary I = 11.33A, Secondary V = 117.1VAC at 10.3A, Power = 1213 Watt
