It's another one of those HP products that has entered the 'Classic' realm. The 400 FL, with its 130 dB of dynamic range, has served as an audio-industry standard for years, if not decades. 10 Meg input, 4 MHz bandwidth, low input capacitance, built-in 100KHz lo-pass filter, and sensitivity that lets you measure anything that makes signal or noise. The L suffix denotes the linear log scale on the top of the meter scale. The scale in graduated into tenths of a dB, and the rotary switch selects range in 10 dB increments, from -80 full to +50, full scale. Everything works just fine - pix show a 1 KHz, 0 dBm from a generator and the resulting meter display. Uses the (not included) standard IEC power cord.
