Does your facility own the transformer? Are you thinking of purchasing a used liquid filled transformer? Are you wanting to sell a transformer? There are many reasons to have the insulating fluids tested. We test thousands of samples in our laboratory each year.
Why test? The insulating fluid test is like a blood test. The laboratory analysis can reveal internal problems far greater than an electrical test can reveal. The 5 Star Test package can reveal past internal problems or the current operating condition of the equipment up to 95% of the time.
Our 5 Star Testing package consists of a Dissolved Gas analysis, Moisture, Overall Oil Quality, Oxidation Inhibitor content, and a Liquid Power Factor @ 25c. We will supply a test report with possible recommendations.
Other tests we can perform at an additional cost are: PCB concentration, Corrosive Sulfur contamination, Particle Count, Dissolved Metals, and many other specialty insulating fluid tests.
