The Xenoplan 1.4/17mm C-Mount Lens covers a 2/3 format sensor with an 11mm image circle. It is broadband coated and corrected for uninterrupted imaging from 400-1000nm (Visible through Near IR spectrum). The Schneider Xenoplan Series of lenses offer outstanding optical performance and a solid mechanical design that is able to withstand harsh environmental conditions. Other key features include:

* Click-stop free iris setting
Designed to accommodate up to a 2/3 sensor, Schneider s Color Corrected VIS-NIR lenses do not need to be refocused when switching between 400-700nm (VIS) and 700-1000nm (NIR). These lenses can be used over the complete spectral sensitivity range without a focus difference. Schneider s Standard VIS-NIR lenses can accommodate up to a 1.3 sensor (22mm image circle) but will need to be refocused when switching between VIS and NIR wavelengths.
The result of an image processing is limited by the quality of the image on the camera sensor itself. Besides the illumination, the lens is therefore the most crucial component of a machine vision system.
The lens must not only meet the optical performance required by the image sensor, but should also offer a solid mechanical design, able to withstand harsh environmental conditions over years.
