8 FIXED RENEWABLE CHIP BREAKER DRILL BUSHING RS-64 3/4"
This listing is for 8 lightly used and new old stock in good condition (one not pictured). There are a few small scratches and surface rust, as seen, but these are very minor concerns. Each is 3/4" inner diameter and 1" outer diameter. Two bushings are 7/8" long from a head with one indented side, chip breaker, number RS-64. Three bushings are 1" long from a head with one indented side, chip breaker, number RS-64. And three bushings are 1-3/8" long from a head with two indented sides (one not pictured). Fixed renewable bushings are mostly used when the number of holes drilled will be greater than the expected life of the bushing. By slipping the bushing out of the liner another size may be installed for the next operation to be performed. Clamps or lock screws are used to secure them in the fixture. When drilling material producing long stringy chips, the chip breaker feature is added to the exit end of the bushings to assist in breaking up these chips. The bushing projects beyond the fixture to allow the chips to be broken and not have to travel up the drill flutes.
