The removable pin allows the vertical rod to lay down, letting the trunk, hatch, or tailgate to open without removing the antenna.
This mount is made to hold just about any kind of antenna you want to put on it, BIG or Small. This mount fit s a 2"X 2" inch hitch (check you hitch size). This is well made and very sturdy.
