Collins-rockwell 851S-1 receiver a fine radio
For sale is a RARE ROCKWELL-COLLINS radio type 851S-1. This radio is part of the HF-80 communication system used by mil and Gov't all over the globe.
The radio is in a good physical condition. Some minor top and bottom scratches but the panel is complete .The radio turns on and the switches respond to different settings and there is audio output,tuning the radio and a small antenna connected brought great SW reception on all functions .
On the physical side it is a clean and there is a smal dent or bend on the right handle.
there are parallel interface cards as well as serial interface in the options.
I have posted this before but had no tools to test it at the location the radio was.
After I brought the 851S-1 home I could verify it's functionality.
SSB and AM sound great and overall impression is very nice.
There are no visible scratches on panel or main VFO knob and there are a lot of filters installed inside.As you can see from the picture attached the 851S-1 is in a fine condition .there is a slight very minor bent corner on the left rack mount plate but it is very small dent.

On the back the radio is fine and as seen no issues .
It is an EX-GOV'T unit and it was checked on regular basis to meet spec.
I Do not have a manual for it or any other non web documents but a manual can be downloaded from the COLLINS page of CCA.
The radio will make a great addition to any Ham or SWL for LF MW or SW monitoring.
