U.S. Bureau of Mines Permissible Electric Flashlight
What I am offering to you today is a U.S. Bureau of Mines Flashlight. It is 7 1/2 inches long, and 2 1/4 inches wide. The shaft is black plastic with a metal slider to turn it on and off, and a metal loop on the back. The caps at both ends are brown with black speckles. Here is what is written on it, "Permissible Electric Flashlight. Approved for use in Methane and Air mixtures only." Then there is the Mineral Industries Logo, shield with pick ax and hammer, and an Eagle with a banner in it's mouth, and "Department of the Interior. Bureau of Mines" written around the logo. Under the logo it is written "Approval NO. 618 Issued to the Fulton Mfg. Corp. Wauseon, Ohio." Under that it says "For use in the following explosive atmospheres only: Gasoline, Petroleum, Naphtha, Alcohol, Acetone, Lacquer Solvent Vapors, and Natural Gas." On the front, under the switch, it is simply marked U.S.
The flashlight is in MINT condition!! All the parts are there, no corrosion, and most importantly, it works! This is the best Permissible Electric Miner's Flashlight you will find, and will be the highlight of your collection.
