This is a high resolution Polytec Laser Doppler Vibrometer Differential or Dual Fiber Interferometer System made in Germany and includes the following:
OFV-3000 Controller with OVD-01 Velocity and OVD-20 Displacement decoders, GPIB and remote focus installed
OFV-502 Fiber Interferometer with OFV-100 lens and OFV-150 retro-reflective head.
This system was manufactured 1993-94 and its new cost was about $65,000. It is refurbished and in great working condition - see above video and the pictures below. This system is used for vibration analysis of objects requiring non-contact measurements. It's current configuration is for single point measurements using the OFV-100 lens and OFV-150 retro-reflective head on the reference beam. Other lenses are available to purchase for other configurations.
The OFV-3000 controller outputs both velocity and displacement signals simultaneously with 5 velocity and 7 high resolution displacement decoder ranges as follows:
* Velocity Ranges: 1, 5, 25, 125 and 1000 mm/s/V, (+/- 10 m/s full scale).
* Velocity Resolution: 0.3 um/s
* Displacement Ranges: 2, 8, 20, 80, 320, 1280 and 5120 m/V, (+/- 51.2 mm full scale).
* Displacement Resolution: 0.008 um
* Velocity Filter Steps: 5, 20, 100, 150 kHz (-3dB).
