Here is a very nice small hole drilling adapter for your drill press or milling machine. The chuck is a Jacobs #0 with capacity of 0 to 5/32. Works best using #60 (0.040 dia.) up to 5/32 (0.1562 dia.) drills although it will grip a #80 drill (0.0135" dia.). The chuck has been disassembled cleaned up, lubed and works flawlessly. Chuck key is included. The spring loaded sensitive feed unit is NEW and has a 1/2" dia. arbor.
1. Grasp free-turning knurled ring and feed with gentle finger pressure.
2. Spring-loaded. When ring is released, chuck retracts automatically.
* Makes drilling of small holes easy by giving you fingertip feed control independent of coarser quill feed.
* Eliminates the need for special machines to drill small holes
* Reduces breakage and deflection of small drills
* Conventional spindle speeds can be used letting the drill cut rather than high spindle speeds that abrade the cutting edge of the drill and work-harden the surface of the work piece.
* With the operator using a fingertip pecking feeding action the chips will clear reducing drill breakage
