They are strong, soft, and pliable, but they have a little less "stretch" than an ordinary tire inner tube. There is not much rubber smell - maybe a slight sweet/vinyl aroma if anything. The freight claim was fairly high as I remember, but there was no info that would identify the end user or the material from which they were made.
