The RespSense monitor is a lightweight portable battery operated instrument at measures and displays carbon dioxide in expired air (ETCO2), inhaled air (FiCO2) and respiration. It is intended to be used for continuous monitoring and in other emergency situations where the need for an early warning system is required.
RespSense offers the possibility to measure capnometry from both intubated and spontaneous breathing patients in a non-invasive and cost effective way. This serves as a reliable indication of the patient s breathing status. It also reduces the need for use of numerous arterial blood gas analyses.
RespSense is equipped with a touch panel display where all the settings and adjustments are made. The touch panel display also shows battery status and faultt messages.
