Powerful motor and effective generator action combine to rapidly break down plant and animal tissue, heart muscle, and cancerous tumors in only 30 60 seconds. Direct mechanical action cuts, rips, and pulverizes samples for complete homogenization. Homogenizers are also useful for preparation of pharmaceuticals and emulsions.
Model PT 1200E features an ergonomic design for repetitive motions and prolonged use, a 100W motor with safety power supply, and fingertip speed control up to 25,000rpm.
All generators feature long slots in the shaft tube, one rotating ring, and one stationary ring. EasyCare* generators disassemble for cleaning, maintenance, and sterilization, making them ideal for use when cross-contamination is a concern and cleaning is necessary. The generators are also designated Quick-Connect as they can be connected/disconnected from the homogenizer quickly and easily. The generators work via the rotor/stator system, in which samples are drawn into the center of the generator tip, vigorously mixed, accelerated, pressed through the narrow gap between the rotor and stator, and forced out between the teeth of the stator. Reusable generators are autoclavable at 121 C (250 F) at 15psi for 15 minutes. Disposable generators are not autoclavable.

The PT 1200E bundle includes a 115V PT 1200E homogenizer; one each of 5, 7, and 12mm saw tooth generators; a stand; and 25 disposable generators. The stand for PT 1200E homogenizers holds the unit, power cord, and generators.
