The 2467BHD is a 2467B with hidef tv sync option 5H and frequency counter option 6. Compared to option 5, 5H autosyncs on more tv formats, and the autoscale (idiot button) function will remain in tv sync mode (rather than slip out of) when autoscale is pressed. This option package is extremely rare - only a few were made for hdtv developers like Faroudja, Sony,...Otherwise, the Tek 2467B is the image intensifying version of the 2465B which was the last and best performing (4 channels 400MHz) portable analog scope Tek made (1989-1996), so you can't get any better! It is ideal for looking at low rep rate fast transients and detecting infrequent jitters. It is also the last Tek made to be repairable. Years from now 2467Bs will still be active while their younger SMD populated digitizing relatives get tossed in scrap heaps. Since it is the standard by which other scopes are and will be judged, it is an excellent upgrade from many others. With these options it cost new $19000 (in 1996, equivalent to about $38000 today), but you can now get it for just a small fraction, still working just fine.
Photo show the leading edge of a fastrise square wave at the scopes's fastest sweep speed, magnified X10. This is a simple, easy, yet, revealing test for weeding out tired 2400s... since it stresses horizontal & vertical amplifiers to the max, and gun for intensity.
