* Hitachi U-2000 UV Spectrophotometer with built-in computer. 190-1100 nm wavelength range, 2 nm bandpas, stray light 0.05 or less, with on board printer and built in display. This is a stand alone system with an accuracy of 0.4 nm and reproducibility of 0.2 nm.
* Easy to change conditions, such as pre-set times or temperature, of the apparatus. The values are also displayed on the screen. One major advantage is that up to 20 standards can be stored and graphically displayed. A photometric value at a particular point on a curve can be measured by simply moving the cursor to that position. Hard copies of plots can be obtained using the built-in printer. Stats, such as the mean value, standard deviation and the coefficient of variation can all be automatically calculated.
