Slender guage and blunt diamond point minimize splitting. The head diameter is approx 7/32". The checkered markings on the head blends with wood texture; serves to diffract sunlight and helps hold paint and stain. They are commonly used for cedar siding, ACQ treated lumber and redwood. Annular (ring) threads offer superior holding power, preclude cupping of siding boards and nails won't back out. Stainless steel resists rusting, nail corrosion, discolorization or bleeding.
