A vacuum press is not a difficult project to build, but if you prefer to jump right into veneering, this vacuum press kit is just for you. The VeneerSupplies.com Excel 1 Vacuum System is designed for woodworkers looking for a simple and affordable method of veneering wood panels and clamping wood projects for routing, sanding and carving (optional). With an integrated bleeder valve, the system is fully adjustable from 840 to 1750 lbs of pressure per square foot.
At the heart of the system is a very quiet, yet powerful vacuum pump from Gast Manufacturing to ensure many years of trouble-free operation. The unit is designed to run on standard household current (110 VAC).

I found a similar system from another company that sells for a bit more than yours but it comes with a vacuum bag. What makes your system better? And since this pump will run continuosly, how long will it last?
