4 MB MEMORY: With the 4mb model, you can store approximately 50,000 points. While it's true that you should download the data collected each day and that 2000 points is more than enough to store a day or 2 of topo work, with the extra memory provided in the 4 megabyte version, you will have plenty of room to keep multiple stakeout jobs stored in memory for quick access. If you frequently find yourself alternating between stakeout work and topographic surveying work within the same day or week, you will appreciate the ability to keep your stakeout jobs stored in the data collector while leaving plenty of room for collected data. With the 4MB model, there is never a need to delete stakeout jobs to make room to collect data. Of course you could keep stakeout jobs stored on a laptop or return to the office to upload stakeout jobs to the data collector, but you will be able to spend more time getting work done and less time uploading or keying in data if you keep your stakeout jobs loaded in the SDR33, ready for quick access.
