This set consists of a Dictaphone ExpressWriter 2740 and various accessories. The main unit has a cassette tape receptacle that takes ordinary audio tapes and an LCD below that. The buttons are labelled eject, on, stop, rewind, FF, play and erase. On the front are sliders for volume, tone, audio backspace and speed. On the side is a speaker on/off switch. The handset rests in a cradle with a magnet in it that allows the handset to automatically turn the unit on when lifted and off when replaced. The handset has three buttons under a small LCD, and a switch with the settings stop, play, record and rewind. Also included is a foot control with switches for FF, rew, and play. An earphone headset is also included. The unit takes power from an included DC power adapter. A copy of the instruction manual is included.
The unit was tested with a borrowed cassette tape and was used to record and play back sound. All of the accessories were tested with the unit and function correctly. This appears to be a good working set.
