The Current Tracers use a load signal generator(referred to as a transmitter) which turns a load on and off at the rate of 6.25Khz.
The change in current, though very small(200mA peak) can be measured anywhere along the path of the circuit that the transmitter is on and is picked up by a specially tuned probe.
Does not interfere with sensitive electronic equipment.
Pinpoints short and ground faults.
Locates breakers, neutral and ground lines.
Locates and traces wires in walls, floors, conduit, computer cables, etc.
Performs tests without having to interrupt power.
