We definitely strive for quality. We bought our eggs from some of the very best breeders when $100+ was a commonplace price to pay for 6 of these eggs. We hatched them and raised our flock with loving care and now offer you some very desireable eggs with which to start your very own flock.
Our hens lay nice dark eggs. We have first and second year layers. The pictures in this listing are of our actual eggs. These are from the beginning of the laying cycle when they are the darkest. The eggs will begin to lighten a bit as we get farther into their laying cycle which is normal for this breed. You may be sure that your eggs will come from our same dark egg laying flock and that the chickens you hatch will have the same dark egg color gene.
Black Copper Marans are truly beautiful. All of our roosters have heavily feathered shanks & most of the hens have heavily feathered shanks with a couple of them being just lightly feathered. These are amazing and unique birds and we will continually work to improve our flock and the breed. Our rooster to hen ratio is 1 to 4.

Even with careful packing, packages can be mishandled and some eggs could arrive broken. That is why we include extras. If more than your extras arrive broken please contact us.
Our eggs are guaranteed to be fresh and get you in good shape for hatching. We have had great hatching results with these eggs, however, as with any honest and reputable breeder, we do not guarantee hatch rates due to circumstances beyond our control.
