UCC27324 dual mosfet / igbt gate driver 4A hi speed X2
Dual Gate Driver for Power MOSFETs and IGBTs
TrueDrive Output Architecture Using Bipolar and CMOS Transistors in Parallel
Does one thing, and does it very well: Turn MOSFETs and IGBTs hard ON, to attain their lowest specified Rds(on) and switching time. (good luck attaining it otherwise).
Turns them ON FAST, and turns them OFF FAST.
It will both source and sink current from MOSFET gates to provide fast switching.
Supply of 4 to 15V, 0.6 Amp continuous output current. 4A peak charging current into capacitive loads. .
Rise time / Fall time 20 /15 ns into 1800 pF capacitive load
Designed to reduce both conduction losses (by fully enhancing the channel), and switching losses (by reducing rise/fall times to their specified minimum) in all MOSFETS.
Can be used to drive other loads: motors, transformers, horn speakers (very loud alarm), signal generators, anything that can handle square waves.
Internally Schmitt-triggered logic states produce decisive switching even for slow rising signals.
If you're driving MOSFETS any other way, you end up struggling with rise times and incomplete turn-on, and you're not achieving rated MOSFET performance.
