A winter hardy bird which matures early and is a good producer of large multi-shaded brown eggs..
New Hampshire Reds dress out very nicely for the table. They are unusually handsome and vigorous.
They lovely fowl forage well if allowed to free range.
The mature birds are a rich chestnut red, lighter and more evenly shaded than the Rhode Island Reds and the baby chicks are also a lighter red.
They are faithful producers and good setters......
