The main difference between BUNN and other brands of Drip/Filter style coffee machines is the water reservoir. BUNN machines have a hot water reservoir that keeps the water hot at all times. This hot water is then 'dumped', or poured over all the coffee grounds in one hit - hence the name 'pour over'. It can therefore make a full pot of coffee MUCH quicker than other drip style coffee makers. Other styles / brands of coffee machines have cold water reservoirs. These work by heating the water as it gradually drips onto the coffee grounds.
