The TP-400FW is a twisted pair transmitter or receiver for FireWire (IEEE 1394) signals. When used in pairs, one will convert a FireWire signal into a twisted pair signal and the other will convert the twisted pair back to a FireWire signal and simultaneously output the twisted pair signal to another TP-400FW.
FireWire Ports - 1 Front or 1 Rear.
System Range - Up to 100 meters (320 ) using a pair of TP-400FWs and up to 500 meters (1600 ) using a 6 TP-400FWs.
EDS Protection - Incorporates Kramer s Spark-Guard signal protection circuitry to help protect against EDS (electrostatic discharge) which can damage digital equipment.
Power Connect System - Only one unit in a system - the transmitter or receiver - needs to be connected to a power source. All the system units must have Power Connect to use this feature.
