With the 11710B, frequencies from 50.01 MHz to 61 MHz on the 8640 or 8654 series generator are down converted to the 10 kHz to 11 MHz range respectively, while the output level and modulation functions remain calibrated. A straight-through selection feature allows the input to be passed unconverted through the Down Converter with <1 dB loss.
Input: 50.01 to 61MHz 0dbm to -107dbm
Output: 10kHz to 11MHz (0 dBm -107 dBm)
In addition to its down converter capabilities, a selectable 1 or 5MHz time base output (>0.5 V pk-pk) is available for use as an external reference signal, with accuracy of <2 ppm.
