The Sony UPA-P100MD is a Digital Imaging Capture Unit designed for medical applications, including endoscopy and surgery. The unit accepts analogue images from external video devices, such as CCD cameras, converting and saving them in JPEG or TIFF formats. The integral hard disk drive has a large recording capacity of 20 GB that can store up to 15,000 non-compressed images. Equipped with a built-in CD-R drive, either stills or video segments can be saved directly to CD. The unit is capable of storing two hours of video on each CD - ideal for presentations, clinical studies and training.
