Solenoid valve 12V/24V +15MM [central heating? 12VOLT

Manufacturer: Burkert [Germany] The highest quality german engineering and reliability. Recommended trade price 99+ v.a.t. see RS: 439-212
Overview: Series 0255 2/2 [Two port] Normally Closed Solenoid Valves
This valve is "direct acting" i.e. it doesn't require a minimum pressure for correct operation. It can therefore be used in low-flow, low-pressure applications e.g. central heating circuits, tank emptying, venting to atmosphere etc.
For use with water [cold to boiling], steam, air, gases, hydraulic oils etc
Function: 2/2 [2-port] Pilot Operated Normally Closed [opens when coil energized].
Port Size: Standard G1/4. Fitted with straight compression adaptors for connection to 15mm pipe-work.
Orifice Size: 4mm diameter [bore on 15mm adaptors: 8.5mm]
Kv value [volume of flow per bar of differential pressure]: 0.5m3/hour [= 500litres/hour per bar]
Coil Voltage[s]: Coil rated for 24Vdc use. BUT perfectly reliable operation at 12V. And I have tested it at 12Vdc with a 3bar forward pressure.
Maximum differential pressure: 4 bar*
Minimum differential pressure: 0 bar*
*[differential pressure is the fluid pressure as measured between one port and the other. The absolute working pressure or system pressure can be much, much higher [typically up to around 100bar]. Differential pressures above 4bar can prevent reliable valve function]
Electrical connections: Three-pin DIN connector rated to IP65 can be positioned 360 in 90 increments
Length [valve port-to-port]: 58mm [with fittings]: 105mm
For more detailed specifications and any available certifications please see the following data sheet. [valve is type 058-796 brass PTFE 4mm orifice type]

Solenoid valves will not tolerate solid particulate material or dirt. Where fluid contains such particles a suitable strainer should be tted up-stream to protect the valve from damage.
