Ideal for measuring Blanket Under Packing for all large offset printing machines, such as Heidelberg, Miehle, Komori, and Roland.
1 Cady Gauge Micrometer, for checking blanket and packing prior to installing.
2 Magnetic Packing Gauge with Starrett Micrometer for checking total blanket and packing in relation to cylinder bearers. Manufactured by Iconics Control, Inc. (Comes with instructions.)
3 Durometer gauge for checking rubber rollers for hardness. Manufactured by Rex Gauge Co, Inc.
4 Custom wooden carrying case for the three instruments.
This instrument eliminates the minute errors caused in any instrument when measuring at varying thicknesses. The lever activated upper anvil descends by gravity (dead weight) and will have uniform surface pressure at any given point of travel, from .0005" to a full " thickness.
Accuracy: +.0002" - .0003" and/or +.00508 mm - .00762 mm
Checks the actual thickness of the packing under the press blanket and plate after they are mounted on the press. Corrects for crushing after press has been run a few thousand impressions.
Magnetic - holds onto cylinder leaving both hands free.
