It features the popular Top Gun modulator, which is like the SP1-A speech processor. The real advantage to the speech processor is that it will increase your average power, meaning overall you ll be putting out more wattage than similar radio. Basics: 10 Meter AM/FM amateur radio with Nitro knobs, blue LED channel display and meter light, front panel 4-pin mike jack, turbo digital echo with time and level controls, talkback with volume control, top gun modulator-turns the radio's transmitter section into a modulator. This model has a frequency counter jack on the back panel for an optional counter.
Controls: Volume, squelch, mike gain, RF gain, echo time and level, variable carrier level (output) control, and talkback volume control.
Switch functions: Channel and band selection - AM/FM/PA, modulator on/off, roger beep on/off, +10KHz on/off, talkback on/off, high SWR warning on/off.
