ELECTRICAL VIBRATING EQUIPMENT catalog mining + 1940s
industrial product trade catalog:
This is a vintage product advertising catalog for electric vibrating equipment, issued by the Jeffrey Manufacturing Company, Columbus, OH. I think the publishing date is 1947, but it is definitely circa 1940's; titled "Catalog 750". Nicely printed heavy-paper covers, logo endpapers, 175 pages with index, abundantly illustrated with many b&w photos and diagrams (including factory interiors, product applications, and workers at different factory jobs); includes company info, many products, specs, descriptions, technical data, etc. A very uncommon catalog on equipment for mining, quarries, foundries, and other industrial applications.
The main sections include: Feeders (batching, spreader, grizzly, multi-power), Waytrols (sizes, types, applications, control devices, electrical controls and panel boxes), Bin Valves (rotary bin check valves), Conveyors, Dryers and Coolers (direct and indirect heat, direct & indirect type coolers, auxiliary equipment), Packers (lowhead jr., lowhead, type H mold packer, vibrators for knock-outs, bins, etc), Screens (gravity types, scalping, by-passing, conveyanscreens), Electrical Equipment and Controls (alternating current operator, pulsating direct current operation, boxes and panelboards), and Other Jeffrey Equipment (chains, sprockets, transmission machinery, car pullers, conveyors and elevators, reduction machinery, foundry, and two pages on COAL AND METAL MINE EQUIPMENT - locomotives, loaders, cutters, blowers, coals washers, etc).
Sturdy paper covers, measuring 7.5 by 10.5 inches; this has survived a fire! - the cover some minor scarring, sticker residue, yellow writing, rubbing to extremities, ; back cover has blackening along spine and chipping at op spine-corner; spine paper is gone; ink stamps to first several pages and a few pages inside; all pages have rippling and light tanning to edges, and some have scars from being stuck together and then pulled apart (but only rarely affects text or photos). Condition is Good-.
