Bunn ultra-2 cds-2 cds-3 lighted lid coiled power cord
This is a brand new coiled power cord for the lighted lids on a Bunn CDS or Ultra machine. This plugs into the socket on top of the hopper backing plate to supply power to the lamps inside the lighted lid. The plug on the end of this cord can be damaged or pulled off of the wire, necessitating installation of a replacement power cord.
The bulbs in the lighted lids of the Bunn machines operate on low voltage for safety. To facilitate the removal of the lids for filling and cleaning, the wire for the lamps can be easily unplugged. This is a coiled power cord with the proper plug that allows the lid to be totally removed from the machine. This cord comes with two plastic wire nuts to connect it to the wires inside the lid.
Installation is easy - unplug and remove the lid from the machine, remove the two screws on the top of the lid, separate the top and bottom lid components, cut the old cord away from the two lamp wires and remove it from the lid, strip about 1/4" of insulation off of the lamp wires, thread the new cord through the holes in a CDS lid, twist each cord wire to a lamp wire (choose either wire, they are not polarized), screw on the included wire nut, then reassemble the lid. This should take no more than 5 or 10 minutes.
