Vintage Alpha Wire Plastic Tubing
Here is a vintage spool of plastic tubing by the Alpha Wire Corporation, New York.
This golden yellow tubing is 418A Size #18.
The spool originally held 20 feet; I did not measure how much is left.
The spool is made of metal and features the Alpha Wire bright orange and navy label on both sides. (Very Illini colors!)
This spool of tubing, which belonged to my grandfather, is in good condition. The inside metal is rusted, there is edgewear on the spool edges and spots on the spool and tubing, and scratches on the label.
This vintage Alpha Wire tubing would look great in a display of old tools.
