Bio-Rad/Dynex Microplate Assay System
The PR-2100 is a Bio-Rad labeled Dynex MRX plate reader. This dedicated absorbance reader combines a wide wavelength range with quick read times to provide excellent performance and utility. The PW-41 plate washer is a 2 x 8 channel programmable microplate washer/aspirator with built-in vacuum and dispensing pumps. The MRX Reader verification plate allows calibration of the system to provide a complete solution for traceable assays in research and clinical environments.
This system was recently decommissioned from a local municipal hospital. It includes the PR-2100 reader, an 12 well MRX verification plate, a PW41 Plate Washer, and a Compaq 486 loaded with Sanofi Pasteur Microplate Assay software. The plate washer comes with the bottles, the computer includes the keyboard, mouse, and data cable, and the verification plate includes a current calibration certificate. The computer was stacked on top of the reader in the surplus warehouse, and has a few minor scuffs on the case as a result. I took off the cover and thoroughly inspected the unit, and it is clean as a whistle inside, with no evidence of fluid spills or other abuse. The washer has some superficial corrosion on the rear, but otherwise is in excellent condition. The system components have been tested as follows: The Reader boots up and passes the initialization and self tests, and I navigated the instrument menus and changed parameters successfully. I observed the function of the filter wheel and other mechanical components with the cover removed, and everything operated smoothly and correctly. The computer boots to the Microplate Assay software and is fully functional. I was able to control the Reader through the computer and perform QC scans on the calibration plate, The washer boots up normally to the menu system. I dispensed fluids using the menu controls, navigated the menu, and changed parameters with no problems. I do not have the manuals for the system, so I was not able to validate performance or functionality any further. I'm selling this system guaranteed to be as described.
