This low pass filter is used to minimize spurious radio emissions in the TV band, while allowing ham or CB signals to freely pass through. greatly reducing the possibility of interference to nearby TV or other sensitive electronic equipment from your ham, CB, or other HF transmitter. The copper case has corrosion on it, especially on the bottom. A rotary buffer should be able to shine up the top and sides so it would look good in your station.
